PREFACE
The ideology of Pakistan, in reality, is the ideology of Islam. The life of any Nation is subject to either human ideology or metaphysical ideology. An idealogy emerges when people feel strongly that they are being mistreated under an existing order, when their status is threatened by fundamental changes occurring in society, and when the prevailing ideology no longer satisfies them.
DERIVATION OF WORD IDEOLOGY
The word ideology is composed of two Greek words “Ideo” and “Logos”. It literally means the science or study of ideas”.

According to Oxford: The way of thinking about class, culture, or an individual
DEFINITION OF IDEOLOGY
According to De Tracy;
Ideology is the science of ideas and their origin.
CHARACTERISTICS OF AN IDEOLOGY
The following are the characteristics of an ideology:
- Unlimited people can join
- It requires enough manpower
- result of collective efforts
- The ideology must be harmonized with the feelings, emotions traditions, beliefs, and values of the nation.
QUIAD’S VIEWS ON IDEOLOGY OF PAKISTAN
The ideology of Pakistan took shape through an evolutionary process. The historical experience provided the base, Allama Iqbal gave it a philosophical explanation, Quaid-e-Azam translated political reality and the constituent assembly of Pakistan passed Objective Resolution in March 1949 and gave it legal sanction.

1. A STAUNCH SUPPORTER OF THE TWO-NATION THEORY
He was a great supporter of the two nations theory and he considered the Muslims a separate nation in every aspect. He said;
The Muslims are a nation by every night to establish their separate homeland. They can adopt any means to promote and protect their spirituality.
2. ISLAM IS A COMPLETE CODE OF LIFE:
While addressing the students in March 1944 he said;
Our guide is Islam and this is the complete code of our life. We neither need any red or yellow flag nor do we need any socialism, communism, nationalism, or any other ism.
3. PAKISTAN AND THE HOLY QURAN:
In 1943 Quaid-e Azam said
What is that relation which has made Muslims a single body? What is that rock on which the structure of the Muslim Nation is restored? What is that base which has secured the safety of the boat of this Muslim Nation? That relation, rock, and base are the Holy Quran.
4. DEMAND FOR THE SEPARATE HOMELAND:
Quaid-e-Azam said in his presidential address at Lahore on 23rd March about the demand for a separate homeland for the Muslims:
“Hindus and Muslims belong to two different religions based on totally different beliefs and present different ideologies. They have different EPIS, different heroes, and different histories. Therefore the Union of two nations is fatal for the sub-continent.
5. FOUNDATION OF MUSLIM NATIONS:
Once Quaid-e-Azam said Pakistan came into being the very day when the first Hindu became a Muslim.
6. NATIONAL IDENTITIES OF THE MUSLIMS:
In light of the history of the sub-continent Quaid-e-Azam argued;
Muslims have never been a minority. They are a perfect nation and have the right to establish their rule in areas where they are in the majority.
7. NEED OF DIVISION OF INDIA
While addressing Aligarh, he classified the ideology of Pakistan in these words;
What was the motive for the demand for Pakistan and a separate electorate for Muslims? What was the cause of the division of India? Its cause is neither the narrow-mindedness of Hindus nor the tactics of the British. It is just the basic demand of Islam.
8. ELIMINATION OF DIFFERENCES
On 21st March 1948, while addressing the people in Dhaka, he said
I do not want to see you talk as a Sindhi, Balochi, Punjabi, and Bengali, what is the fun of saying that we are Punjabi, Sindhi, or Pathan? We are only Muslims.
9. PAKISTAN A PRACTICAL LABORATORY FOR ISLAMIC SYSTEM:
While addressing the students of Islamia collage Peshawar on 13th January 1948, Quaid-e-Azain said;
We did not demand Pakistan Just to own a piece of land but we in fact wanted to have a Laboratory for experimenting with the true teachings of Islam.
10. SEPARATE STATUS OF THE MUSLIMS:
In his address at Lahore On 23rd March 1940, it was clearly mentioned;
No Act or law would be acceptable which denies the separate status of the Muslims.
11. DESTINATION OF MUSLIM
The treatment of the Muslims convinced them of their destination, Quaid-e-Azam in clear words said;
The British want to rule India. Mr.Gandhi and the Congress want to rule India and the Muslims. We say that we will not let either Britain or Mr.Gandhi rule Muslims. We want to be free.
12. STRONG BELIEFS OF MUSLIMS
Quaid-e-Azam had a strong belief in achieving his goal. He said;
We cannot be moved or diverted from our purpose and objective by threats or intimidations. We must be prepared to face all difficulties and consequences and make all the sacrifices that may be required of us to achieve the goal we have set in front of us.
13. UNITY OF MUSLIMS
With the will of Allah, the Muslims were able to establish Pakistan. On 15th August 1947, he said:
Muslims of India have shown to the world that they are a United nation, their cause is Rist and righteous which cannot be denied
14. NATIONAL SOLIDARITY:
Once he said after the creation of Pakistan;
The people who think that they will demolish Pakistan are foolish. They are not in their senses. There is no power in the world that demolishes Pakistan.
FINAL ANALYSIS
Quaid-e-Azam wanted an established an Islamic system as a code of life because he believed that it was the sole objective of the Pakistan movement.
